Hold Your Tongue.

Emma saying...."Hold your tongue!"

I was not planning on putting up a post today, but then I had my morning devotions and couldn’t help but write this short little post. Just regard this as another simple little tip but much more profound and helpful than any organizing tip ever will be…God always gives the best advice you know, right on every time! :)

The tip: Hold your tongue, watch what you say.

I have committed to reading through Proverbs a total of 12 times this year (yes, once a month). So, today I read Proverbs 15 and here are just a few excerpts from it that SO emphasize the importance of what we let come out of our mouths.

“A soft answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger.” v.1

“A gentle tongue is a tree of life…”v.4

“To make an apt answer is a joy to a man, and a word in season, how good it is!” v.23

“…gracious words are pure.” v.26

“”The heart of the righteous ponders how to answer, but the mouth of the wicked pours out evil things.” v.28

Hope this makes you think twice today before you speak, I know it has for me!
